PATNA: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate to the nation the NIT-Patna campus at Bihta via videoconferencing on October 4, the Institute’s director PK Jain said here on Friday.
“Bihar CM Nitish Kumar, Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Union minister of state for education, Jayant Chaudhary would alo join the event through video conferencing, while Dr. Sukanta Majumdar, Union minister of state for education will grace the occasion with his presence at NIT Patna’s Bihta campus ,” Jain said while addressing a press conferencing here.
“This is a significant moment for the institute and a major step forward in enhancing the infrastructure and opportunities for technical education in the region. The NIT-Patna has invited all stakeholders of the institute to witness this historic and momentous occasion,” Jain said.
"The land for the additional campus at Bihta was allotted by the Government of Bihar in the year 2016. The Union ministry of education released a grant of approx Rs 500 crores for development of 1,10,000 sq. m. of built-up area to accommodate 2,500 students in phase 1. The construction work for Phase-I at the Bihta campus started on August 2, 2022," the institute director said.
