NEW DELHI: Tamil Nadu chief minister M K Stalin on Wednesday cautioned students against adopting divisive ideologies and urged them to follow the paths shown by Mahatma Gandhi , B R Ambedkar , and Periyar . Speaking at a college event in Chennai, Stalin said, “There are several pathways for us; like the way shown by Gandhiji, Dr Ambedkar and Periyar. You students should never go on the path of Godse’s camp.”
He emphasized that his remarks were not intended as political commentary but aimed at encouraging youth to cultivate political awareness. “I am not talking politics, but students must have an understanding about politics,” Stalin said.
Stressing the transformative power of education, the chief minister called it a “permanent asset” for students. He also highlighted Tamil Nadu’s strength in unity, saying, “If Tamil Nadu comes together as a single team, no one can trounce the state.”
