What was the controversy about?
The India’s Got Latent controversy erupted when an FIR was filed against Samay Raina, Apoorva Mukhija, YouTubers Ashish Chanchlani, Ranveer Allahbadia, and others associated with the show. They were accused of promoting obscenity and discussing sexually explicit topics on the publicly available YouTube series.
The backlash intensified after Ranveer made remarks that were widely considered insensitive. The clip quickly went viral and drew heavy criticism on social media, with many users condemning the comments.
Despite the storm, Samay appears ready to move forward—and take the laughs with him.
