Transport for London has confirmed changes to 11 bus routes across the capital from today, with several boroughs affected. Bus services running from popular London tourist destinations such as King's Cross, Victoria, and Camden are all listed for updates.
The updates come just a week after eight more bus route timetables were altered last Saturday. First, TfL confirmed that route 63 between Peckham and King's Cross will see the introduction of a new timetable on all days of the week. The number of buses will be restored to every 6 to 7 minutes during the daytime on Mondays to Fridays.
Services will also run every 8 minutes during the day on Saturdays and every 10 minutes during the evenings and all day on Sundays. Updates will also be made to Route 187 with a new timetable on all days of the week.
Route 202, which runs between Crystal Palace and Blackheath, is also affected by a new schedule launching from today.
TfL said: 'Route 202 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with the frequency restored to every 10 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays and every 15 minutes during the evenings and all day on Sundays."
Officials also confirmed there would also be a new temporary timetable introduced on route 253 between Hackney and Euston with services to run every 10 minutes. TfL has also confirmed that routes 254, 261, 273 and 326 are also set to enjoy new timetables as of Saturday.
More complicated tweaks are being made to Route 452 between Ladbroke Grove and Vauxhall with a temporary system set to launch.
TfL explained: "A temporary timetable will be introduced on route 452, widening the frequency of the service to every 12-13 minutes between 1100 and 1400 and to every 13 minutes between 1400 and 2300 on Monday to Fridays and to every 12-13 minutes between 1300-2300 on Saturdays and 1300-2000 on Sundays. No change outside of these times."
Meanwhile, Route N5 and Route N20 are also affected by a new timetable on all nights of the week. Locals and tourists unsure of how the changes will affect them have been urged to check online.
TfL added: "Visit our journey planner tool at http://www.tfl.gov.uk/plan-a-journey for more information on the above changes."
