Samsung's iPad rival tumbles to £99 ahead of Black Friday, but not for long

Fancy a new tablet but can't afford iPad prices? Amazon might have just what you are looking for. Despite the big Black Friday 2025 sales not officially starting until the end of the month, the online retailer has just confirmed a "limited time" offer on Samsung's Galaxy Tab A11. This device usually costs £149, but thanks to this surprise early sale, you can pop it in your online shopping basket today for just £99.99.

It's a decent discount, but what do you actually get for your money? The A11 features an 8.7-inch screen with a 90Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling.

It also gets a premium design, single camera on the rear case and 64GB of internal storage, which can be boosted to 2TB via an SD card.

This gadget also packs speakers with Dolby Atmos audio, an octa-core processor and decent battery life which should easily last a long-haul flight. There's even a headphone port so you can plug in those over-ear cans or wired earbuds.

Express.co.uk has not tested the Galaxy A11, but we have reviewed a number of other Galaxy tablets, and all have impressed with Samsung certainly offering solid rivals to Apple's popular iPads.

It's worth noting that the A11 does have a relatively small screen compared to some other tablets and is not as powerful as many of the firm's other devices.

It should be fine for browsing the web, sending emails and watching videos, but if you want something faster for gaming and multitasking, we'd recommend buying the Galaxy Tab S10 FE or the more premium Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra.

Of course, if you simply don't want an Android tablet and would rather take delivery of an iPad from Apple, there's good news.

Argos has already been dishing out early Black Friday deals, and Apple's entry-level device has got a discount.

The iPad (2025) is now just £299 at the UK retailer, which is one of the lowest prices we've seen. This device will set you back at least £329 when buying directly from Apple.
