As Princess Beatrice prepares to celebrate her 37th birthday on August 8, a former royal butler has revealed the touching way King Charles is expected to mark the occasion.
Grant Harrold, who worked for the Royal Household between 2004 and 2011 at Highgrove, says Beatrice is deeply cherished within the Royal Family - and especially by her uncle, King Charles. Speaking on behalf of Fruity King, he shared that the monarch will be eager to make his niece's day feel special, even if the celebration remains a low-key affair.
"The King will be keen to celebrate Princess Beatrice," Harrold said. "King Charles and Queen Camilla remain close to both Beatrice and Eugenie. Beatrice is well-liked across the Royal Family and often steps in to support. While the celebrations may be a private affair, a celebration is expected, reflecting her quiet but valued presence within the Firm."

Although Beatrice is not a full-time working royal - she currently works as a strategist for tech firm Afiniti - she has quietly taken on more responsibilities over the years. Her ability to step in when needed has even led some royal experts to describe her as a "secret weapon" for the monarchy.
Despite her popularity, Harrold doesn't believe Beatrice will receive a formal promotion when Prince William ascends the throne.
As for her birthday celebrations, Harrold believes they'll be intimate and understated.
"I don't see any big celebrations, as it's not a major birthday," he explained. "I think Beatrice will go for a quiet and private affair with best wishes from the whole family, and a nice gift from King Charles. He doesn't tend to give money, so I imagine he would give Beatrice a piece of jewellery."
Princess Beatrice and her family joined crowds of thousands watching the England women's football team's victory parade in central London last month.
The princess, her husband Edoardo Mozzi and their children Sienna, Athena and Christopher, were among crowds lining The Mall near Buckingham Palace to celebrate the team winning Euro 2025.
The King's niece, who is the daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, unofficially represented the royal family at the parade following England's win over Spain in the women's European Championship.
