A Reform UK member majorly clashed with the hosts of Good Morning Britain on Friday. Presenters Kate Garraway and Rob Rinder were at the helm of the ITV morning show as they welcomed Reform Party Chairman Dr David Bull onto the show to talk about Labour's latest loss - but things quickly turned heated.
Rob brought up the fact that the only Black branch chair of Reform UK, Neville Watson, has quit the party over concerns over the party's tone on migration, saying that it is "doing more harm than good". The ITV presenter said: "There is a suspicion amongst a number of members, Neville Watson among them, that your party is sympathetic to people who are on the, people argue, the far or extreme right, certainly for example, sympathetic to Tommy Robinson. What is your view on Tommy Robinson?" But Dr Bull hit straight back as he exclaimed: "Absolutely ridiculous. Rob, you are reading the wrong editorials. Tommy Robinson is not welcome in our party. The fact is that we are not far right, we are right of centre.
"Immigration is the number one issue. Illegal immigration and legal immigration. So let's just look at that, shall we?
"So, this year we have had more illegal migrants come into this country than in the entirety of last year, despite the Prime Minister saying he was going to smash the gaps. People are absolutely apoplectic over what is going on."
Kate then cut in as she asked if that's the case, then why has Mr Watson stepped away from the party, to which Dr Bull replied: "I don't know, I don't know him."
Rob then saw red as he raised his voice to ask how he didn't know his own party member, raging: "You appointed and vetted him, what do you mean you don't know him? You're the Chairman of the party!"
The Reform politician simply explained that they have 262,000 members and supporters, and "so I can't know every person in the party."
Fans watching at home seemed to be less than impressed with Rob and Kate's line of questioning. Posting to X/Twitter, one wrote: "Was that an interview or two people asking two different questions to try and belittle the interviewer? But they didn't he answered the questions when they let him."
Another added: "Usual crap trap from Kate & Rob," while a third said: "Garraway's disdain for Reform or any other party other than Liebour, is so transparent it becomes cringey, which she normally is anyway. If you can't interview politicians fairly and without prejudice, you're in the wrong job. Stick to reality game shows."
