*Warning - This article contains major spoilers for episode seven of Celebrity Traitors.*
Celebrity Traitors star Jonathan Ross' downfall has been exposed after a major blunder on Wednesday (October 29).
Earlier this month, Claudia Winkleman made her return to the Scottish Highlands, where 19 famous faces aimed to deceive, double-cross and stab each other in the back whilst vying to secure £100,000 for their chosen charity.
Alan Carr, Cat Burns and Jonathan Ross were selected as the Traitors, with ten unsuspecting Faithfuls being knocked out of the competition so far.
At the start of tonight's episode, Lucy Beaumont was unveiled as the most recent celebrity to be murdered following a shock face-to-face killing by the Traitors.
Meanwhile, fellow vulnerable contestants Nick Mohammed and Kate Garraway were met by Claudia, confirming their safe passage through to breakfast, reports Wales Online.
Following a gruelling height-based challenge, the group proceeded to the roundtable for the subsequent banishment, witnessing the first Traitor's departure from the castle.
Jonathan garnered the highest number of votes, subsequently exposing his treacherous identity to his fellow contestants.
"I've got no idea what everyone's doing wrong. I cannot believe you've done it again. I cannot believe that I'm standing here for no good reason," Jonathan declared before his departure.
"I am now and I have been all through the game completely Faithful... to the Traitors!"
But what led to Jonathan's downfall?
Traitors fans will remember that Ruth Codd started doubting Jonathan's intentions after he cast his vote for Niko Omilana during a prior roundtable discussion, despite establishing an "alliance" with him.
The participants also observed that Jonathan was the programme's most devoted fan, making him a likely candidate for Traitor status.
A "big dog" theory was additionally circulated, with Joe Marler proposing that Jonathan and Stephen Fry might be spearheading either the Faithfuls or the Traitors.
That's not all, as last week saw Jonathan also face potential "murder" alongside Kate, Nick and Lucy. Upon surviving to breakfast this evening, the television icon declined to reveal what happened at the chess board encounter and his meeting with Claudia, which appeared suspicious to his co-stars.
"Jonathan not sharing the details of being on the chess board with Claudia was defo his downfall, as well as the Ruth situation," one viewer wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
Another added: "Jonathan mentioning the other Traitors potentially as Traitors in front of them was his downfall," while a third said: "Jonathan definitely looked more suspicious than ever. It was right he went."
