All Creatures Great and Small fans say 'absolutely outstanding' as show make announcement

Last month, Channel 5audiences were delighted when a fresh series of All Creatures Great and Small launched, with the programme featuring a minor time leap.

Feelings ran incredibly high as viewerswitnessed Siegfried Farnon (Samuel West) battling difficulties following Mrs Hall's (Anna Madeley) departure from Darrowby and the conclusion of the second world war.

Whilst the series continues to captivate audiences, the programme delivered thrilling news this week, prompting fans to express identical sentiments.

Posting on Instagram, they wrote alongside several photographs: "We're delighted to share that All Creatures Great and Small has made the shortlist at the TV Choice Awards! Best Drama Series, Best Drama Performance – Nicholas Ralph and Samuel West.

"A huge thank you to everyone who continues to support and love the show. Darrowby wouldn't be the same without you."

It didn't take long for people to respond to the news, with one viewer commenting: "Best show on the telly. May it continue for many many many more series's [sic]."

Another penned: "Absolutely outstanding cast, and the crew must be superb. The writing and storytelling is amazing, the cinematography is just breathtaking. My wife and I are enthralled and we appreciate you all bringing us a little piece of joy in dark times, thank you!"

Meanwhile, someone else remarked: "Well deserved hope you all win fantastic well made series that I love."

Nevertheless, it wasn't the sole thrilling revelation this week for the series as a fresh character is poised to arrive in Darrowby, reports the Manchester Evening News.

The latest addition to the cast, a woman named Charlotte Beauvoir (Gaia Wise), has been described as a 'kind and caring soul'.

Born into wealth but with her feet firmly on the ground, Charlotte, an huge horse lover could potentially shake things up for brothers Siegfried and Tristan Farnon (Samuel West and Callum Woodhouse).

Actor Callum Woodhouse was full of compliments for his new co-star, stating: "Gaia's absolutely amazing. I think we had a really nice chemistry on set. She's a great actress."

He added: "And I think her character, Charlotte Beauvoir, is a great addition. Tristan is maturing, becoming more independent, and taking on more responsibility.

"I think he's past that stage now where he's jumping from girl to girl. So, is he ready for something more serious? It's been really fun to play."

All Creatures Great and Small continues on Thursday on Channel 5 from 9pm.
