The Union Territory of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu is all set to celebrate the much-awaited Monsoon Festival – 2025 from 29th August to 5th September 2025 with great enthusiasm and participation from locals and visitors alike. This annual cultural extravaganza has become a signature tourism event for the Union Territory, eagerly awaited by people from across the region and beyond.
Over the past nine years, the Union Territory has witnessed unprecedented transformation in infrastructure, tourism, and overall development. This remarkable journey of progress has been made possible due to the unwavering support, inspiration, and visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji. His clarion call for a Viksit Bharat and Atma-nirbhar Bharat has been the guiding force behind this transformation.
Under the dynamic leadership of Administrator Praful Patel, the UT Administration has taken proactive governance measures, created world-class infrastructure, and ensured the highest safety standards for tourists, which has resulted in exponential growth in tourist footfall in recent years. The UT now boasts of having World Class Namo Path and Ram-Setu sea fronts, Vibrant Night Market, Walk-in Aviary, Picturesque Devka Garden, Go-Karting, Luxurious Tent Cities.
For the first time, the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India has extended its support to the organisation of the Monsoon Festival, reaffirming its stature as a nationally significant tourism event.
Festival Highlights & Schedule:
· 29th August 2025 – Neeti Mohan Live Concert and Patriotic Performances at the Daman Night Market.
· 30th August 2025 – Tourism Cultural Parade - National Level Cultural Dance Performances and a grand Fireworks Display at the Daman Night Market.
· 31st August to 5th September 2025 – Coastal Musical Nights with Live Band Performances at Daman Night Market.
· 29th August to 5th September 2025 – Handicrafts Mela, Food Festival, and Automobiles Exhibit at Devka Garden, Namo Seafront.
The Night Market in Daman will serve as the fulcrum of all activities during the Monsoon Festival – 2025, offering visitors a vibrant blend of culture, entertainment, and leisure. Over the years, the Night Market has evolved into one of the major tourist destinations in Daman, attracting both locals and travellers alike. Designed with a distinctive charm, it features Indo-Portuguese styled architecture for its shops and residential buildings, complemented by artsy lighting installations that create a lively ambience. The streets are adorned with captivating wall murals depicting the rich heritage and culture of Daman, while world-class street furniture provides comfort and convenience to visitors, making the Night Market not just a shopping hub but a unique cultural and recreational experience.
