Patna: RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav on Saturday requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi to convene a special session of the parliament and take the country into confidence by sharing 'date-wise and point-wise' details of all matters, starting from Pahalgam terror attack to the ceasefire reached by India and Pakistan.
Tejashwi commented on 'X', “I request Prime Minister to convene a special session of the parliament and provide date-wise and point-wise information from the Pahalgam terror attack to the ceasefire and take the country into confidence. All Indians through the Parliament in one voice will be able to express their gratitude to the bravery, courage and valour of the Indian armed forces, and express their views on various aspects. A common message from the entire county will go to “Aantakistan”, a nation running a laboratory of terror,” he remarked
Targeting Narendra Modi government for US president Donald Trump ‘breaking’ the news of ceasefire , CPI (ML) general secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya said, “So, India under Modi now needs ‘a long night of American meditation’ to agree to a ceasefire after three days of growing concerns in the country about the consequences of a full-scale India-Pakistan military conflict. The news of a ceasefire was broken by Trump and his officials before being corroborated by India and Pakistan.”
“The ceasefire should be used as the first step towards complete de-escalation. Both India and Pakistan should withdraw the announcements made in the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack and restore full diplomatic relations between the two neighbours. The perpetrators of the Pahalgam terror attack must be brought to justice and measures taken to ensure lasting peace and promote friendship and cooperation in the region,” he added.
Bihar BJP`s media-in-charge Danish Iqbal said, “Pakistan must understand that India is no longer the pre-2014 India. Under the decisive leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the nation does not tolerate any compromise on its sovereignty and the safety of its citizens. Talks of ceasefire hold meaning only when Pakistan completely stops its nefarious designs, cross-border infiltration, and support to terrorism. India will not be misled by symbolic peace gestures. If provoked, India is fully capable of giving a befitting reply — and we have done so before. We desire peace, but not at the cost of national pride and security.
Meanwhile, Bihar chief minister Nititsh Kumar before the announcement of ceasefire reviewed security preparedness in areas bordering with Nepal with senior officials of administration and police, Army, Air Force, Border Security Force (BSF), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) and railways, and reviewed preparations being made after the launch of Operation Sindoor. The meeting was held in Purnea in the Seemanchal region of the state.
