'Are You For Real': Hina Khan Expresses SHOCK After Director Announces Operation Sindoor Film Amid India-Pakistan Tensions

Television actress Hina Khan has reacted after the film Operation Sindoor was announced on Friday with a poster. The movie is based on the real-life Indian Armed Forces operation of the same name, which was carried out on the early hours of May 7, targeting nine terror camps within Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

Taking to her Instagram story on Saturday, Hina shared the poster of the film Operation Sindoor and expressed her disbelief. She wrote, "Wait, what?" along with a surprised emoji, and added, "Are you for real. No, no, no… this can’t be true."

The cast of the film is yet to be announced. The project will be directed by Uttam Maheshwari and produced by Vicky Bhagnani and Nickky Bhagnani, cousins of Jackky Bhagnani.

Nicky and Vicky Bhagnani have previously produced Nikita Roy, starring Sonakshi Sinha, which is scheduled to release worldwide on May 30.

Following the backlash, director Uttam took to his Instagram story to issue a statement, apologising and clarifying that his intentions were never to hurt anyone's sentiments. As a filmmaker, he expressed how deeply he was moved by the 'courage, sacrifice, and strength of the soldiers.

He added, "The project was born out of deep respect and love for out nation and not for fame and monetisation. However, I understand the timing and sensitivity may have caused discomfort or pain to some. For that, I deeply regret."
