The festival of Nag Panchami is on Tuesday, 29th July. On Nag Panchami, people worship the snake god. In many places, people offer milk to snakes. On the occasion of Nag Panchami, worshipping Lord Shiva and his Gan Vasuki, the king of snakes, removes Kalsarp Dosh. Many such works on Nag Panchami are forbidden. Milk is not boiled on Nag Panchami. There are some other works on Nag Panchami, which, if not done, can cause a dosh. Let us know what should be done and what should not be done on Nag Panchami?

What's not to do on Nag Panchami?
1. According to folk beliefs, milk should not be boiled on Nag Panchami. Milk is offered to snakes. If you boil milk or make milk dishes on this day, then there can be financial loss and a dosh can be imposed.
2. Digging the ground is prohibited on Nag Panchami. It is believed that snakes live in burrows in the ground. Digging spoils their habitat.
3. Roti and paratha should not be made on the pan on the day of Nag Panchami. The pan is considered to be the symbol of the fire element. Snakes are afraid of fire. King Janmejaya performed a Yagya to avenge his father's death. Also, in popular belief, the pan is considered to be the hood of the snake, so the pan is not placed on the stove on this day.
4. Plastic idols should not be used in worship on the occasion of Nag Panchami. On this day, worship the idol of a snake made of clay or stone. Snakes made of gold and silver are also worshipped on Nag Panchami.
5. Snakes should not be fed milk on the day of Nag Panchami, nor should they be harmed in any way.
6. Snakes are not used for entertainment or show. Legally, also doing so is a crime.
What to do on Nag Panchami?
1. On the occasion of Nag Panchami, go to the temple and worship the snake god. Pray to him for the happiness and prosperity of your family.
2. If you have Kalsarp Dosh in your horoscope, then worship Lord Shiva on Nag Panchami. This dosh will be removed by the grace of Shiva.
3. To remove Kalsarp Dosh, gold or silver Naag and Naagin are worshipped on Nag Panchami.

4. For happiness and prosperity, visit a temple of Naag Devta or go to Lord Shiva's temple and offer prayers on Nag Panchami. Nagchandreshwar temple of Ujjain opens only once a year on Nag Panchami. If possible for you, go there and have darshan.
5. On the occasion of Nag Panchami, sports events are organized in many places. People participate in Kabaddi, wrestling, Mallakhamb, etc. These events are considered important for strength and health.
