Apart from famous places like Charminar, Golconda Fort, and Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad, there are many such places that very few people know. These places show a special glimpse of the history and culture of the city, but remain away from the eyes of tourists. Today, we will tell you about 5 such hidden places where you can enjoy visiting with family.
Raymond's Tomb belongs to a French general, Michel Raymond, who worked in the army of the Nizam. People used to worship him by calling him Musa Ram or Musa Rahim. This tomb, made of black stone, is situated on a hill in Malakpet and is a unique part of Hyderabad's history.
Toli Masjid (Caravan): Built in 1671, this mosque is a great example of Qutub Shahi architecture. Its minarets, carved walls, and elephant-shaped balconies make it special. But this mosque is known to very few people because it is located in a quiet area.
New Fort of Golconda: There is another fort near the Golconda Fort, which was built during the time of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. Here, the Majnu-Laila Fort, the Mustafa Khan Mosque, and a 400-year-old baobab tree are worth seeing. Very few people visit this place.
The British Residency (Koti) is also a very special tourist destination in itself. This grand building was built in 1805, and British officers lived here. Its large staircases, European design, and statues of large lions make it special. After being neglected for many years, it has now been preserved and is open to the public from 2022.
The James Street Police Station (Secunderabad) was built in 1867 and is still in use today. It is one of the oldest British buildings in Hyderabad. Despite being near the Secunderabad Clock Tower, few people notice its beauty.
