About Dharmendra's upcoming project

Beyond his fitness journey, Dharmendra is set to appear in the upcoming film Ikkis, a coming-of-age war drama based on the life of Indian war hero Arun Khetarpal. Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Sriram Raghavan, known for hits like Ek Hasina Thi and Andhadhun, Ikkis is slated to release on October 2, 2025.

The film is set against the backdrop of the Battle of Basantar, a major conflict during the 1971 war between India and Pakistan. Ikkis also stars Jaideep Ahlawat and Agastya Nanda, promising a compelling portrayal of patriotism and valour.

However, the film recently faced controversy when its first look mistakenly credited Arun Khetarpal as the youngest recipient of the Param Vir Chakra, India’s highest military honour. In reality, Yogendra Singh Yadav, awarded for his bravery in the 1999 Kargil war, holds that distinction as the youngest recipient at the age of 19.
