WhatsApp is preparing to bring a new feature soon, which will allow users to import their Facebook or Instagram profile photo directly to WhatsApp. This information has come to light through feature tracker WABetaInfo, which said that this feature is currently in the testing phase in WhatsApp Beta for Android 2.25.21.23 version.
What is this new feature?
So far, if a user wanted to put their Facebook or Instagram profile photo on WhatsApp, they had to first download that photo and then manually upload it to WhatsApp, but under the new feature, this process will now become much easier.
By going to WhatsApp Settings, the user will get the option to change their photo in the profile section, where now two new options will appear in the form of Facebook and Instagram. As soon as you tap on these, the existing profile photo from the respective account will automatically be imported to WhatsApp.
What is Meta Accounts Center?
To use this feature, users will probably have to link their WhatsApp account to Meta Accounts Center. It is a platform that allows you to connect all of Meta's apps (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp) and control their settings from one place.
