Andrea Berta made quite the impression during the summer transfer window. The Arsenal sporting director, who promised to 'shape a successful future' when he replaced Edu in March, has welcomed plenty of new faces to the Emirates Stadium, while also offloading the deadwood.

Berta invested about £250m in Mikel Arteta's squad, bringing in a healthy balance of marquee forwards, midfield maestros and defensive stalwarts. While the Gunners have one of the greatest net spends in Europe, the Italian has managed to free up a lot of space on the wage bill.

Some fairly big earners left following the expiry of their contracts, too, which could make room for more additions in January. So, with that being said, football.london has rounded up all the ins and outs at the Emirates Stadium this summer;
