Chelsea can still sanction three more transfers after brutal £98m decision made

Chelsea may not be done with transfers just yet as another three more deals could still go through. A stunning 38 moves - both in and out of Stamford Bridge - have been sanctioned over the last few months, with Enzo Maresca seeing drastic changes made to his squad.

The majority of those have come in attacking quarters - with Nicolas Jackson, Noni Madueke, Christopher Nkunku and Joao Felix all leaving. That quartet has been seemingly been replaced by Joao Pedro, Liam Delap, Jamie Gittens, Alejandro Garnacho and Facundo Buonanotte.

Carney Chukwuemeka, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Armando Broja were others on the fringes at Chelsea that have been sold. Despite a plethora of deadline deals going through, some players that looked destined to leave have stayed.

Tyrique George was one of those even after he played 67 minutes in the 2-0 defeat to Fulham with it seeming as though Marco Silva was impressed by that display. However, the agreed £22million switch to Craven Cottage fell through in the final hours of the window. That was after Chelsea failed to agree a deal with AS Roma.

Interest from across London was also present for both Raheem Sterling and Axel Disasi. West Ham United made enquiries for the latter but ended up signing Igor Julio on loan from Brighton instead and despite links to Wolves, Sunderland and Bournemouth, he remains a Chelsea player.

The same can be said for Sterling with Fulham having also shown an interest, but ending with Kevin and Samuel Chukwueze from Shakhtar Donetsk and AC Milan, respectively.

However, there is still hope Chelsea can get both players off the books with windows in Turkey and Saudi Arabia still open. According to Spanish outlet SPORT, Sterling, Disasi and Andrey Santos could all yet make moves to the Middle East.

It has been claimed elsewhere that Saudi Pro League side Neom FC have made a £17million offer for Disasi which - if accepted - would mean Chelsea only lose just over half of the £38.5million paid for his services in 2023.

Sterling, meanwhile, appears to have no plans to play in the Saudi Pro League despite having no future at Chelsea after a challenging loan at Arsenal just two years on from his £45million switch from Manchester City.

Talk of Santos departing is interesting, given the approaches turned down by Chelsea this summer. The £18million signing, having come off the subs bench in every Premier League game, is third-choice midfielder behind Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo which makes it highly unlikely he's allowed to leave, given Romeo Lavia's fitness issues.

Nonetheless, with a number of weeks still remaining in their transfer window, those exits are a possibility.
